Patrick Kai Yu Cheng is the Founder & President of A Planet Without Borders ™.

Kai Yu is his middle name.  It is his Chinese name and also his stage name as an actor, singer, dancer, and dance teacher.  Kai means “world” and Yu means “universe”.  Kai Yu means “world and universe”.  Therefore, Patrick Kai Yu Cheng refers to Patrick World Universe Cheng.

He holds a Bachelor Degree of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering (BASc) from University of British Columbia and a Master Degree of Business Administration (MBA) from City University of Seattle.

He is a Licensed Professional Engineer (PEng) registered with the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of British Columbia (APEGBC) and a Fellow of Engineers Canada (FEC) from Engineers Canada, Canadian Council of Professional Engineers.

He is a Licensed Real Estate Agent, a Licensed Strata Manager, and a Licensed Rental Property Manager registered with The Real Estate Council of British Columbia.

He is a Professional Actor, Singer, Dancer, and Dance Teacher; a Full Professional Member of UBCP ( Union of British Columbia Performers ) and ACTRA ( The Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television, and Radio Artists ).  He has done lead, principal, supporting, stand-in, and background roles for commercials, films, television, reality TV, and live theatre.  He has taught Ballroom, Latin, and Swing dance classes.  He has a strong passion for music, the performing arts, and the visual arts.

He is an Adjunct Faculty Professor at a number of universities and colleges.

He is also an upcoming published author, professional speaker, innovator, entrepreneur, mentor, coach, master trainer, humanitarian, philanthropist, and philosopher.

Canadian National Fellow of Engineers Canada (FEC) Award in honour of his exceptional contributions to the engineering profession in Canada; from the Canadian Council of Professional Engineers, Engineers Canada, 2011.

United Nations General Assembly and Government of Canada International Year of Volunteers Award for outstanding service and contribution, 2001.

United Nations Association Certificate of Appreciation in grateful recognition of his volunteer efforts to support UNA objectives and its 4th annual Kids For Kids Provincial Children’s Right Forum, 1995.
